Hampshire based barn dance band, Pogles Wood were formed in 1994, regularly performing for corporate events, wedding receptions, parties and fund-raising barn dances throughout the south of England. Thousands of people have danced to the Pogles Wood band over the years, at various weddings, dinner/dances and summer balls.
For dancing, Pogles Wood mainly play English, Ceilidh, Scottish and traditional music, with American and Irish thrown in for good measure. They also play ‘sing-a-long’ music, to entertain while people are getting their breath back between dance sets.
With so many receptions taking place in restored and converted barns these days, a barn dance band seems perfectly at home. Recent bookings in this type of venue include: Tithe Barn & Manor Barn in Petersfield, Upwaltham Barns in Petworth, Clock Barn, Laughton Barn and many more. Other venues within Hampshire, Surrey, Dorset and Sussex include HMS Warrior, Rhinefield House, Chewton Glen, Farnham Castle, Arundel Castle and Careys Manor.
